Concord is the biggest city in Contra Costa County, California. At the 2010 registration, the city had a populace of 122,067 making it the eighth biggest city in the San Francisco Bay Area. Established in 1869 as the network of Todos Santos by Salvio Pacheco, the name was changed to Concord inside months. The city is 29 miles east of San Francisco. The complete zone of the city is 31.13 square miles

Concord is maybe best known for the De La Salle High School football team, which set up a national record series of 151 wins,  breaking the past record of 72.

Toward the north and east of downtown is the more established location of Concord, with numerous homes going back to before World War II. In the far northern edge of town is a basically mechanical region, ruled by the Tesoro Golden Eagle Refinery (which is really not situated inside city limits). The southeastern zone of the city, focused along Clayton Road, is largely private and was generally created during the 1970s. In the southwest territory of the city is the principally Latino neighborhood known as Four Corners, based on the crossing point of Monument Boulevard and Oak Grove Road.

The Concord Library of the Contra Costa County Library is situated in Concord. The library is neighboring the Concord Civic Center.
